GŪD Essence is bringing modern cannabis wellness to Northeast Florida! GŪD Essence, a Black woman-owned cannabis and wellness brand founded by Jasmine Johnson, is now open in Jacksonville at 210 E. State Street, Jacksonville, FL 32202. The 3,732 sq. ft. dispensary, in the heart of downtown, will offer quality, culture and compassionate care. The community is invited to celebrate the opening on Saturday, Aug. 15, from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.
More than a cannabis dispensary, GŪD Essence is a cultural movement rooted in education, empowerment and holistic healing. Supported by a strong research and cultivation team, the company delivers science-driven cannabis solutions that improve the quality of life for patients and consumers across Florida.
During the soft opening event, guests will have the opportunity to get an immersive look at GŪD Essence’s premium cannabis and wellness offerings, take group tours of the dispensary, participate in wellness activities and giveaways, shop a mini market featuring local creators, listen to a live DJ and more. The afternoon will feature a Guddie bag giveaway, a wake & bake elevated infused popcorn bar, a tea lounge and the Blazy Susan booth. Johnson will be in attendance.
From 12 to 1 p.m., GŪD Essence will host a sound bath led by Keldenise. Then from 2 to 3 p.m., guests have the opportunity to participate in a Lifted Yoga Pop Up led by Ori Lotus. Lifted Yoga is a high-vibrational moving yin flow that is perfect for all levels. This is a safe space to medicate, meditate and elevate. The healing effects of flower combined with the holistically healing effects of yoga are the perfect vibe to slow down, reflect and release. The flow will feature guided meditation, journaling, and a sound bowl during meditation
The Mini Market will be open from 3 to 7 p.m., alongside live music by DJ Chew and live glass blowing by 151 Glass. Local vendors include The LemonLaid Lady, Tasty Trees, The Haus of Venom, The Empress Creations, Head Plant and The Ancestors Creations.

Following the opening of the Clearwater store in November 2025, GŪD Essence Jacksonville is the next step in the company’s Florida expansion. In 2026, GŪD Essence is projected to open flagship dispensaries in Titusville, Orlando and Miami, with a broader goal of reaching 20 dispensaries statewide over the next two years. All projected openings remain subject to regulatory approval and permitting processes.
